Tatiana’s Testimony: When God Leaves the 99 to Reach the One – 2025
For weeks, I had been lost—trapped in a toxic relationship I could not break free from. I knew it was sin. I knew it was destroying me. Yet no matter how hard I tried, I felt bound, powerless, and exhausted. I carried the weight of shame, confusion, and fear, wondering if I would ever be free.
One morning, something in me broke—not in despair, but in surrender. I woke up and cried out to God with a desperate prayer. I asked Him to release me from this bondage, to save me from what I could not escape on my own. It wasn’t a polished prayer. It was a cry for deliverance.
Later that day, I went to work at the Bowery Mission. That morning, Rise Up Mission was preaching. As the minister began to speak, the message was clear and piercing: Jesus leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one who is lost.
In that moment, I knew without a doubt—I was the one.
God was speaking directly to me. Every word felt personal, intentional, and ordained. I couldn’t hold back my tears. I wept openly as the truth settled into my heart: God had seen me. He had heard my prayer. He had come for me.
Something shifted in me that day. The grip of that stronghold began to loosen. The lies I had believed started to lose their power. I felt the beginning of freedom—not all at once, but real and undeniable.
Since that moment, God has continued to heal me. He is delivering me step by step, breaking chains I thought would never fall. I am learning that His love pursues, restores, and rescues—even when we feel too far gone.
Jesus left the ninety-nine for me.
And He is still walking with me as He makes me whole.

“I had just gotten out of prison, trying to find my way, when I heard worship echoing through the streets of Harlem. Something in me told me to stop, so I sat on the sidewalk, just listening. As I sat there, one of the team members approached me, and at that moment, I couldn’t hold back the words—I told them how I had just been on the phone with my wife, the woman who had been praying for me for years. She had been asking God to send someone to reach me, to bring me back, and here they were. It wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t a coincidence.
