Rise Up Mission was born from a step of faith—a simple “Yes” and “Amen” to God. One day, as I walked the streets of San Diego, I felt an undeniable pull to go to East Downtown.
What I saw there shook me to my core—hundreds of people living in addiction, homelessness, and hopelessness. The weight of their suffering was overwhelming, but in that moment, I knew I couldn’t turn away and pretend that I didn’t see anything.
God placed a deep conviction in my heart to do something. I felt unqualified and unsure of where to begin, but I knew that if He was calling me, He would make a way. A few months later, I took a leap of faith, and Rise Up Mission was born.
The first initiative, The Way to Hope Project, started with a simple outreach—serving meals, handing out clothing, offering prayer, and just being present for those in need. What began as small acts of kindness soon became something much bigger. I saw lives being touched, hope being restored, and people finding the strength to rise up from their struggles.
Today, Rise Up Mission continues to grow, reaching more people with the message of love, healing, and transformation. This journey has shown me that no one is beyond redemption and a step of faith can lead to incredible change.
This is just the beginning. Join me in saying “Yes” and being a part of restoring people’s lives—one person at a time.
