The Story of Eneida: A Journey from Despair to Hope
Eneida’s story is one of hope and inspiration for many. She began as a volunteer when we launched The Way to Hope in San Diego, CA. Working closely with our outreach leader, she has been faithfully going into the community three times a week to reach those in need.
Eneida’s Role
But Eneida’s journey is deeply personal—because she was once in the very place where she now serves. She experienced homelessness, struggled with drug addiction, and even spent time in prison. Through it all, her mother never ceased to pray for her, believing that God had a plan for her life. After years in prison, God got hold of her, and she entered a faith-based rehab program called Teen Challenge. There, she went through the program, graduated, and committed her life to sharing a different path with others—showing them the power of transformation through Christ.
In 2023, Eneida joined us as a volunteer, never missing a single outreach session with our core team. Her unwavering dedication and passion led her to be promoted as a leader for our program in San Diego. Today, she also serves as our Executive Assistant, and beyond that, she has taken the initiative to build her own team of volunteers, reaching out to those on the streets, praying for the marginalized, and sharing her powerful testimony.
Every week, Eneida is on the ground, ministering to two homeless camps, bringing the light of Christ to those in darkness. Her life is a living testimony of God’s redeeming power. To God be the glory!
